FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about how FJ Globe works, what you can track, and the limits of public ADS-B data.
Can I track Flexjet flights live?
Yes. FJ Globe shows every Flexjet aircraft currently broadcasting ADS-B on a 3D globe in real time, with positions refreshed every few seconds.
Is private jet tracking legal?
Tracking aircraft via their ADS-B broadcasts is legal in the US, the EU and most of the world. ADS-B is an open standard that aircraft broadcast publicly so other aircraft and air traffic control can see them.
How accurate is the data on FJ Globe?
Position accuracy is excellent over land where ground receivers are dense (typically within a few hundred metres). Coverage can be patchy over oceans and remote regions where only satellite ADS-B is available.
Why is a specific aircraft not showing on the map?
An aircraft will be missing if it is on the ground, in a region with no ADS-B coverage, or if its operator has requested it be blocked from public feeds. Once it broadcasts again, FJ Globe will pick it up automatically.
What is a tail number (registration)?
The tail number is the unique civilian identifier painted on the tail or fuselage (for example, N123FX). FJ Globe lets you search by tail number and save tails as favourites so you can follow specific aircraft across multiple flights.
Is FJ Globe affiliated with Flexjet?
No. FJ Globe is an independent project, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Flexjet LLC.
How much does FJ Globe cost?
FJ Globe is free to use.
